BIBLE STUDY AND DISCUSSION GROUP
The study and discussion group gets together every two or three weeks for about 90 minutes, usually on Monday afternoons. We have looked at some of the Old and New Testament books, with the help of various commentaries, and are considering different church/ religious/ Christian-related topics. It’s good to take a couple of hours out occasionally to discuss themes which we’re interested in and have questions about - we often stray off message and don’t necessarily come up with any answers, but we always find it’s been helpful and enjoyable to share ideas. If you would like to hear more or join in, please contact us.
The group will start their new term on Monday, 12 November, 2.30-4pm at Upfield, East Saltoun. This winter, we initially plan to have a few sessions based on Jeff Lucas’s There Are No Ordinary People, a DVD-based series of short presentations and questions, exploring how God uses each detail of our everyday lives in an extraordinary way. This looks at what makes us significant through the story of Barnabas, the Bible’s “son of encouragement”.
New members would be very welcome to join in!
