Our next Messy Church event will be on Sunday, 12 February, 4-6pm, in the Village Hall in East Saltoun, and it will be all about the Last Supper.
We'll find out if Jesus and the disciples really only had bread and wine there, might try making our own bunches of grapes, disciple biscuits and perhaps even our own grape juice (using very traditional methods, i.e. our own feet...).
Come and join in, when we meet for crafts, stories, music, and a shared meal!
Rev Dr Doug Gay, Lecturer in Practical Theology and Principal of Trinity College at the University of Glasgow, will give this year's Chalmers Lectures. This series of three lectures is entitled 'Reforming the Kirk: the future of the Church of Scotland' and will offer a candid, forthright and bold analysis of the state of the Church of Scotland and the choices facing it.
The lectures will be held on Wednesdays 1, 8 and 15 February, at 6.30pm in St Giles Cathedral Edinburgh, and are also available to be watched online on the Church of Scotland website.
From 29 April to 9 May, there will be a Church of Scotland trip to Israel/ Palestine. If you're interested to learn more about it, please see the poster or contact Kenny Roger at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0131 225 5722.
