This year, we'll again be supporting the Blythswood Care Christmas Shoebox Appeal. If you would like to pack and donate a shoebox, for a child, teenager or adult, please print this checklist, pack your box and bring it to one of our churches, by Sunday, 28 October.
You can learn more about how the Shoebox Appeal helps people in need by watching this video:

Evening services

17/9/2018

From this coming Sunday, we will start a new series of Evening services, held jointly with our linked congregation at Humbie Church. The services will be held roughly every six weeks, and alternate between Sunday and Wednesday evenings. The first one, this Sunday, is focusing on the topic of Peace.
The next dates for the Evening services are
  • 23 September, 7pm in Yester Church: An Evening Service for Peace Sunday
  • 7 November, 7pm, in Humbie Church: A St Martin's Candle Service
  • 16 December, 4pm, in Yester Church: A Blue Christmas Service, for all who have lost a loved one and miss them especially at this Christmas time
  • 13 February, 7pm, in Bolton Church: A Valentine's Eve Service.

Messy Church: Friendship

3/9/2018

We had a great time at Messy Church yesterday, thinking about friendship in a lot of different ways - by making friendship bracelets, keepsake boxes and friendship wreaths, decorating biscuits while discussing what friendship means to us, by playing team games, while the babies and toddlers played in a soft play area.
We then heard about friendship stories in the Bible and learned a song, before having a lovely meal of sausages, mash and beans, followed by jelly and fruit, together.

It was great to see so many children and parents there - some old friends and some new - we hope you all had a good afternoon! Here are some photos of what we got up to:
