On Saturday, 10 December, we'll have a Coffee Morning in the newly refurbished Session Rooms in East Saltoun, from 10am until 12noon, with coffees, teas, delicious home baking and a raffle.

​This is a fundraising event for the Saltoun Church Ceiling Appeal, helping us to raise the necessary funds for the repair works. We hope you'll come along!

As many of you know, part of the ceiling plaster in Saltoun Church broke off during a service in October 2015. Since then, it has not been possible to use the building. After considerable work on exploring different options, surveys on the state of the whole ceiling, and much consideration, the Kirk Session has decided to start a fundraising appeal, to raise money for the necessary repair works, as it was felt to be vital to return the church to regular use as soon as possible. We'll apply to various funds for grants, but they may not cover the cost, which are expected to be more than £30,000. The repair works can only be carried out if the necessary funds can be raised. More information on the fundraising appeal will be published shortly.  

On Sunday, 27 November, we'll have a simple soup lunch in the Village Hall in Gifford, just after the first Advent Service. This is a fundraising lunch for the Church of Scotland HIV Programme, and for our new Saltoun Church Ceiling Appeal. We hope you'll come and join us!
